1. Start with an Outline
Brainstorming is an integral part of the essay planning process. Get your main ideas down, jot down some details, and tie it together with a catchy opening and memorable closing.
2. Every Word Counts
Stick as close to the required word count as possible. Either beef it up with more visual details, or trim some of the fluff.
3. When you are done, Read it aloud
Reading your essay out loud makes it easier to distinguish when you sound redundant, choppy, or off topic.
