The Center for Inquiry is pleased to announce the #ScienceSaves High School Video Scholarship for College-Bound High School Seniors! All our lives have been improved by the discoveries of science. Describe an experience in your life that demonstrates that science does indeed save. The experience can be something that happened to you or someone you know. Create a 20-30 second video answering the question “What has science done for me?” or “What has science done for somebody I know?” You will be judged on your ability to highlight how science saves in a succinct, creative way with original photos, video clips, and text. (Be sure to add #sciencesaves to your video). 1st place wins $10,000, 2nd place wins $2,000, 3rd place wins $1,000, 4th place wins $500 while 6 honorable mentions win $250 each. Eligibility is for all United States high school seniors entering college in the Fall of 2022.

The SEE Education Foundation will be awarding scholarships to students pursuing degrees related to the explosives industry. To be eligible, students must be, or plan to be, pursuing a technical, undergraduate, graduate or doctorate degree in a field related to the commercial explosives industries. Students will be assessed on academic and professional achievements, industry goals, a personal challenges narrative and a brief statement of financial need.

The UMPS CARE Charities All-Star College Scholarship is for children adopted later in life in order to provide a college education to students who otherwise might not be able to afford one.
The All-Star Scholarship is open to children adopted at or after the age of 13 to provide increased opportunities for advanced education. Each year, one student will be selected to receive the scholarship. This student will be eligible to receive up to $10,000 annually to go towards tuition, books, and other college related expenses. Students must fill out the application, submit a high school transcript, FAFSA report, three letters of recommendation and four short essay questions.
Applicants must have been adopted or exited foster care to permanent guardianship at or after the age of thirteen (13) and demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA Application.Applicants must also be incoming college freshmen under the age of twenty, and have a 2.5 GPA (and maintain a 2.5 GPA for renewal).

Through the generous sponsorship of AlerisLife Inc. and AARP, the MIT AgeLab organizes OMEGA, an initiative designed to foster multigenerational connections between high school students and older adults. The goal of OMEGA is to strengthen relationships and promote connections across generations.
Applicants must be current high school juniors or seniors in the U.S. taking part in programs within a school, nonprofit, senior center, or nursing/assisted living community that connect teens with older adults, who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Two of the scholarships will be designated specifically for high school juniors and seniors who have engaged in intergenerational programming in Five Star Senior Living communities.

The Catherine W. Pierce scholarship was established to support students who are majoring in disciplines within the Arts. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit is seeking submissions for its 2022 essay contest. Students are invited to consider and share their thoughts on the question: "Is the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause sufficient to secure the rights of all citizens, or is the ERA necessary to promote gender equality?
Students have the opportunity to win one of three cash prizes: first place, $2,000; second place, $1,500; and third place, $1,000. Essays are limited to 1,000 words and must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, May 27th.

The Flag Manufacturers Association of America (FMAA) offers this scholarship to help eligible applicants attain their educational goals. This is a one-time award and is not renewable. The FMAA Manufacturer Members have a genuine interest in hearing the meaning the American flag holds for America's youth. The FMAA Scholarship Program gives students an opportunity to express their feelings regarding the flag and their own views on patriotism, as well as raising awareness of the "Made in the USA" issue. A video of 90 to 120 seconds in length is required as part of the application process.

The AISES Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Foundation Scholarship is made available to American Indian high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher who reside in one of the 23 states serviced by the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Pacific Corporation and its affiliated companies.
Applicants must be: an enrolled citizen or a descendant of an enrolled citizen of a federal or state recognized American Indian Tribe or Alaska Native Village; or Native Hawaiian or descendant from a Native Hawaiian; or Pacific Islander or descendant from Pacific Islander; or Indigenous person of Canada. Those awarded must maintain a 2.75 GPA their freshman and sophomore years and a 3.0 GPA their junior and senior years to receive scholarships for all four years.
