If there are things a senior high school student should be hunting for during April, it shouldn't be Easter Eggs. Spring break is not only a good time to relax, but it is also a great time to be hunting for April scholarships, or any scholarship with an application deadline in April that you are eligible to apply for.

20 Scholarships with Deadlines on April
Here's a list of 20 scholarships with an application deadline falling within the month of April. Eligible students should apply to as many of these as possible as they're basically free money towards a college education.
Deadline: April 1
Award Amount: $25,000
The $25,000 “Be Bold” Scholarship is a no-essay scholarship that will be awarded to the applicant with the boldest profile. To us, boldest does not mean “best”, or “most accomplished”. Being bold means being earnest, determined and moving.
The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose profile is most bold, according to these characteristics.
While the scholarship will be awarded on November 30, 2022, the scholarship will have rolling monthly application deadlines. Students applying within earlier application windows will have a greater chance of winning the award.
Students at any education level, school, field of study, and GPA will be considered.

Award Amount: $2,000
The American Fire Sprinkler Association, (AFSA) is a non-profit, international association representing merit shop fire sprinkler contractors, dedicated to the educational advancement of its members and promotion of the use of automatic fire sprinkler systems.
This high school senior scholarship is open to 2021-2022 high school seniors who want to pursue a college degree or trade school education.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements:
- The High School Senior College Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors who are citizens or aliens legally residing in the USA.
- Scholarship funds are payable to the winner’s college/university or certified trade school in the United States; the winner must enroll for classes beginning no later than the Fall 2022 session.
- Winner selection is NOT based on financial need, GPA, or demographic criteria.
- Home-schooled students may apply as long as the course of study is equivalent to that of a senior in high school.
- Relatives of AFSA staff or NATIONAL board members may not enter.
10 scholarship awards are available.

Debt.com’s mission is to encourage Americans to fight their way to financial independence – from college freshmen to senior citizens and everyone in between. Sadly, many college students don’t apply for all the scholarships available to them.
This scholarship is open to all students who apply to as many scholarships as they can. They just need to send proof of their scholarship applications. They don’t even have to win any of those scholarships they applied to.
They then have to submit a short letter telling more about themselves and why they need the $500 cash. What are their plans in life? How did they feel applying for all those other scholarships? Did they learn anything from that? Did they win any?
Winners are picked every two (2) months.

The HARVEST Education Foundation was created in 1995 by the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association and its sister associations. It establishes educational programs and opportunities for students who wish to make a career in the RV and campground, manufactured housing or self-storage industries. Since the foundation’s inception, HARVEST has granted $358,575 in university and college scholarships to 628 students.
Students who will enroll or are currently enrolled at an accredited university or college are able to apply. Scholarships will also be awarded to students even though their career goals may not lead them back to those industries.

For more than 40 years, the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD) has worked to create a society in which every individual possesses the academic, social, and emotional skills needed to succeed in school, at work, and in life. NCLD offers annual scholarships and awards that celebrate the work and achievements of those students and leaders working to improve the lives of the 1 in 5 with learning and attention issues.
One of these scholarships is the Anne Ford Scholarship. The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability (LD) and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be a US citizen, submit current financial information and provide most current documentation of an identified learning disability and/or ADHD.

AIGA Worldstudio Scholarships benefit underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who are studying photography, illustration, and design disciplines in colleges and universities in the United States. Scholarships are awarded annually to encourage social and environmental responsibility and cultural awareness in the next generation of artists and designers.
Students will be notified of award status in July/August. Awards will be announced in September/October.
Scholarships are awarded in amounts of $2,500–$3,000. One or two top awards may be given in an amount up to $5,000 at the jury’s discretion. Honorable mention prizes in the amount of $500 cash are also awarded. A one-year AIGA membership is also awarded to recipients.
Eligibility Details:
- Students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and be pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in the disciplines of graphic design, illustration, or photography. Note: Apply in the category that best matches your major.
- Applicants must be matriculated (or planning to matriculate) at accredited colleges and universities in the United States for the Fall 2022/Spring 2023 academic year and must maintain full-time status for the entire year.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States or be in possession of a Green Card (formally known as a Permanent Resident Card or Form I-551).
- Financial need and talent are primary factors in the review and selection process
- Applicants must provide complete financial aid information with confirmation from the school’s financial aid officer.
- A Portfolio of work samples and a written statement of purpose must also be provided to demonstrate talent and commitment to giving back to the community.
- Though not a requirement, diversity is a significant factor considered in jury decisions. AIGA considers race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, ability and disability, age, and other factors (e.g., military service) that shape creative perspective and professional experience when reviewing applications.

Western Illinois University offers the Chad Stovall Memorial Scholarship to incoming freshmen who have been diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, or Attention Deficit Disorder.
Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time and remain in good academic standing. Financial need will be considered. This award is renewable.

The Frank O'Bannon Grant includes both the Higher Education Award and the Freedom of Choice Award. The grant is designed to provide access for Hoosier students to attend eligible public, private, and accredited post-secondary institutions.
Eligibility for the grant is based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA. The grant may be used toward tuition and regularly assessed fees. Applicants must be an Indiana resident by December 31st the year prior to applying and must remain a resident throughout the academic year, be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen and be a high school graduate or hold a GED, attend or plan to attend an eligible college or university, and plan to enroll in a course of study leading to an associate or first bachelor's degree.

The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes, a program of the nonprofit organization Young Heroes Project, celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America. Established in 2001 by author T.A. Barron, the Barron Prize annually honors 25 outstanding young leaders ages 8 to 18 who have made a significant positive impact on people, their communities, and the environment.
The Barron Prize welcomes applications from public-spirited young people who are, on our April 15 deadline:
- Between the ages of 8 and 18 (not yet age 19).
- Permanent residents of and currently residing in the U.S.A. or Canada.
- Currently working on an inspiring service project or have done so within the past 12 months
- Working as an individual to lead their service work. The Barron Prize does not accept applications from large groups of young people.
The Barron Prize does not discriminate against its applicants based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, creed, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability.

Award Amount: $500 to $7,500
This scholarship is sponsored by the Bill of Rights Institute.
Applicants are asked to write an essay about a topic.
The Contest is open to all United States citizens or legal residents who are students who are no older than 19 and no younger than 14 as of the end of the Contest Period who (1) attend school in the United States, one of its territories or districts, or an American Armed Forces School Abroad, and (2) who are in grades 8 -12 attending public, private, religious, or charter schools, or (3) are enrolled in a GED or correspondence school program, or (4) are attending a home school program. In addition to going to school in a contest state, the applicant must be in grades 8-12.

Award Amount: $750
Students who are Hispanic makeup more than a fifth of the total student population attending universities and colleges within the US. Around 60% of them will require financial aid and often are financially disadvantaged compared to their peers from other racial groups.
The Hispanic Empowerment No-Essay Scholarship is meant to encourage diversity in academia. This $750 award will help high school seniors or current undergraduate students who are Hispanic pay their tuition or student loans.
The No-Essay Scholarship eligibility is for Hispanic high school seniors or current undergraduate students.
Deadline: April 17
Award Amount: $1,000
The Jason Kulpa Special Needs Scholarship was created to assist parents or siblings of special needs children or adults. This scholarship provides $1,000 to be used toward tuition or related expenses. To enter for a chance to receive this $1,000 scholarship eligible students must submit a short 500-word essay.
To apply for this scholarship, students must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- A high school senior that has already been accepted into an accredited college, university, design or trade school and is the parent or sibling of a special needs child.
- A current student enrolled at an accredited college, university, design or trade school and is the parent or sibling of a special needs child.
- A parent or sibling of an active special needs student.

Award Amount: $5,000
The Davis Memorial Foundation is proud to establish this scholarship fund in memory of Larry and Mary Davis. Larry was an integral part of the roofing industry for many years serving on several roofing industry association boards which included the RCA of California and Western States Roofing Contractors Association. Larry and his wife Mary perished in a 1995 airplane accident near their home in Modesto (California) while returning from a WSRCA Committee meeting. This fund was established to honor their support for industry education.
All candidates must be:
- Provisionally accepted as students into undergraduate or graduate degree programs for the coming academic year by accredited colleges, universities or vocational education programs.
- Resident of the states covered in the WSRCA service area including: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
- Affiliated with the roofing industry.

The people at LA Tutors are passionate about sparking the creative genius in students and would love to commend those outstanding students who have made a difference in the lives of others in some innovative or technological fashion. In order to achieve this, they have established a scholarship for students who meet certain criteria.
Application Requirements:
- Must currently be enrolled as a high school or college/university student.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (or the equivalent).
- Must be a citizen of, permanent resident of, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada.
- Must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others (This could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.)
- Must submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation. There is no minimum or maximum word/page count. The essay, idea, or creation must be the applicant’s original work.

Bottlinger Law L.L.C. wants to invest in our country's future, which is why they are pleased to announce a $2,500 scholarship for one deserving student from anywhere in the United States. Their firm believes that helping even one person secure an education helps the community as a whole.
Applicant Requirements:
- Must be a high school senior on track to graduate or a college student enrolled in an accredited four-year university/college, or currently enrolled in a two-year college and planning to transfer to a four-year university/college upon completion.
- Must have earned, or will earn your high school diploma this calendar year.
- Must have maintained a 3.0 or higher GPA.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold Permanent Residency status. DACA recipients are welcome to apply.

The Barbara G. Laurie Architectural Scholarship was established in 2013. Laurie, an architect who was devoted to the Washington Architectural Foundation and the community, was a partner of Devrouax + Purnell, a prominent architecture firm in DC. She was a founding member of the Organization of Black Designers and a professor of architecture at Howard University. After her untimely passing in 2013, the scholarship was named in her honor.
The Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA|DC) and the Washington Architectural Foundation (WAF) have been jointly sponsoring a scholarship for new architecture students since 1999. Awarded initially in the freshman year, the scholarship will follow you through your four or five-year degree, as long as you remain in an architecture program anywhere in the United States and maintain a good grade point average.

Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000
This contest provides academically talented and highly-motivated high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to address a topic that embodies some of our communities' most pressing issues and are asked to write an essay to defend their research, analyses and opinion. Submissions are judged by a special committee of CBC Spouses.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen/legal permanent resident who is a high school junior or senior at the time of essay submission. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale, exhibit leadership and be active in the community. Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students. The AGL Over the Rainbow Foundation is proud to announce the Blooming Artist Award sponsored by Ronald and Patti Loveless. The Blooming Artist Award is an annual $1000 Scholarship gifted to a high school fine arts student who continues their education at a college level, who exhibits a love for their craft and a dedication to their community.
Applicants must submit a short video or sample of their highlighted performances or artwork, a resume of their musical, theatre, art, or chorus background and three letters of reference from teachers. Applicants must also provide a copy of the acceptance letter from the college they will be attending in the fall. If timing makes this impossible, a listing of applications with plans to attend.

The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s National Racial Equity Initiative for Social Justice (NREI) HBCU Social Justice Scholarships were created to encourage and support the next generation of social justice leaders committed to dismantling systemic barriers and advancing equity, freedom, and justice for all, especially the Black community and racial minorities. The funds will be disbursed on an annual basis to undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level students attending Historically Black Colleges or Universities, pursuing studies related to social justice to include, but not limited to, criminal justice, education, civil rights or community/economic development. Students must demonstrate their interests and experience in social justice, student activism, and/or community service.
Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or black students who are a U.S. citizen/legal permanent resident. Applicants must attend or be accepted to an accredited HBCU and have a GPA minimum of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to social justice and exhibit leadership and be active in the community.

This scholarship opportunity offers multi-year scholarships to students to increase the number of qualified, competitive African-American or Black students pursuing a degree in healthcare, to include, but not limited to internal medicine, family medicine and pediatrics.
The applicant must be a U.S. citizen/legal permanent resident who is or will be pursuing an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree full-time at an accredited college or university. Must be pursuing a major that will lead to a career as a primary health care professional. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale and exhibit leadership and be active in community.
